DUPR stands for Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, a global rating system designed to accurately assess and track the skill levels of pickleball players, regardless of age, gender, or location. 

  • Purpose: DUPR aims to be the most accurate and comprehensive rating system in pickleball, helping players understand their skill level and find opponents of similar abilities. 

  • How it works: DUPR uses a dynamic rating system that adjusts ratings based on match results, ensuring ratings reflect current skill levels. It considers various playing formats, including recreational and tournament play, and rates players on a unified scale. The system analyzes match results to accurately evaluate all players across a 2.000 - 8.000 scale. 

There is lots of DUPR information online. LCPC Members should invest the time to learn about DUPR and how the rating system will impact their individual play.

LCPC / DUPR / PICKLEHEADS

The LCPC schedule for 2025 will include a Men’s and Ladies DUPR session each week. 

  • Anyone wishing to participate in DUPR sessions will require a DUPR account and for it to be connected to their Pickleheads account.

  • Join DUPR at https://ww.dupr.com and download the App.

  • DUPR ratings will be used to move players within a group.

  • We are not using DUPR to run the session.  DUPR only adjusts your rating through it’s algorithm.  As explained earlier Pickleheads will organize the session play.

  • At the end of each session the scores are sent to DUPR and will count towards your one & only DUPR rating.

LCPC members who want to play in the DUPR sessions must link their DUPR account to their Pickleheads profile:

  • Login to Pickleheads; go to the top right corner and click down to "Profile and Rating"

  • In the rating section, you can link your DUPR account directly by providing your DUPR ID#

When linked, your DUPR rating will automatically sync with your Pickleheads profile. This allows you to:

  • Submit scores directly to DUPR from round robins

  • Have scores instantly validated without manual player confirmation

  • Use your DUPR rating for matchmaking and level-based play
